A New Year of Writing with Honing House
Class announcement and upcoming changes to this newsletter
Happy New Year, everyone.
I hope all of you had a lovely evening and, for those of you out late, are recovering.
I’m going to keep this newsletter brief. As you read in the last Dispatches, I am now devoting all of my energy to making Honing House the best online resource for writers learning the craft. I’ve been busy over the past month making huge changes to how we offer our classes.
First, I’m incredibly excited to announce that Honing House has launched a new website. This change was made to give students a better experience with on-demand course material and to offer better one-on-one and live workshop capabilities.
We’ve also launched a brand new class, Write Your First Short Story Draft, which combines the best modules of the Creative Spark and the Fundamentals of Fiction into one comprehensive course.
I want to offer everyone here, since you’re already a longtime supporter of this newsletter a limited time 25% discount on this course. Simply add the promotion code:

An upcoming new direction for this newsletter
I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: Writing Dispatches from the Honing House brings me great pleasure. Over the past year, however, I have felt a greater pull to offer something unique to all of my dedicated readers here, something that differs from what is being offered over at Honing House.
This month will stick to a similar format. Aside from this newsletter, paid subscribers will still receive their normal missive with tales and writing exercises.
From February on, however, expect a new format with better offerings for both the free and paid feeds.
Until then, stay well, my friends. All the best with your resolutions.
